Venice, on Florida’s Southwest Coast, is the place to go for lots of shopping, family-friendly sea activities, and Old Florida charm. It is located just south of Sarasota and has 14 miles of beaches. The most popular beach in the city, Venice Beach, is easily accessible by foot from the downtown area. It is a designated Blue Wave Beach where guests may go reef diving and fossil hunting up to a quarter mile offshore. Not only is the beach a hot spot, but so is the pier. The favorite location for strolling, fishing, and taking in expansive views of the coastline is the Venice Fishing Pier, which juts out into the Gulf of Mexico.

The city features a charming, old center with boutique stores, galleries, and a range of dining options surrounded by Mediterranean-style architecture.
