The objectives met were to lay a foundation for using big data technologies and common solution patterns, to establish a framework and architecture for future growth, and to enable predictive analytics.

  For a large manufacturer of foodservice and food packaging supplies, partnered with CIO to rationalize a long-term cloud migration roadmap, understand business processes, recommend best practices, and execute multiple collaboration optimization projects to enable business teams to work better across functional silos and geographic boundaries using tools including CRM Dynamics, SharePoint, Project Online, Skype, Yammer and One Drive.

• Consumer Website Competitive Analysis

  For a major Chicago based airline, led effort to solicit and quantify service offering differentiators for a business-to-business transactional web-based consumer cargo booking and tracking tool to exploit the strengths and differentiators of the client’s toolset against their competitors.

• Intranet Redesign and Governance Strategy

  For a multinational law firm, as advisor and strategist led a team of 40+ senior partners and C-level executives through discovery on emerging topics in social business and collaborative technologies resulting in the award of a multi-year intranet redesign and governance project. Led the discovery and analysis phases of the intranet portal design project. Developed a comprehensive governance charter to enable the client to self-manage the portal.

  For a large foodservice manufacturer of bakery mixes, icings, fillings, and glazes, led effort to select an IT outsourcing provider to assume ownership of the client’s SAP landscape and other mission-critical IT functions, analysis included quantification of key functional and economic differentiators to define which functions to outsource and which to retain in-house.

• IT Strategy and Outsourcing Evaluation

  For a highly specialized outsourced services provider, led effort to select an IT outsourcing provider, including quantitative and qualitative vendor analysis, reference evaluations, seven-year total cost of ownership model, risk assessment, and business case.

  Analyzed the client’s $20.5M annual IT budget, and developed a best-case approach to acquiring and sourcing IT technologies and services. Modeled the cost and benefit analysis for the build versus buy transformation decision…

  For a highly specialized outsourced services provider, led effort to select an IT outsourcing provider, including quantitative and qualitative vendor analysis, reference evaluations, seven-year total cost of ownership model, risk assessment, and business case.

  Analyzed the client’s $20.5M annual IT budget, and developed a best-case approach to acquiring and sourcing IT technologies and services. Modeled the cost and benefit analysis for the build versus buy transformation decision, guided the negotiation process and developed a post-selection transition project plan for the $142M deal.

• Matter Budgeting and Forecasting System UX Transformation

  For a multinational law firm, led the design and implementation of functional and visual enhancements to a legacy custom-built (ASP .NET) line of business partner budgeting and forecasting system to significantly increase functionality and user experience through dashboards, KPIs, portfolio aggregation, and modernizing the look and feel.

  For a global CPG company, conducted a deep analysis of all SharePoint 2010 content and proposed a new architecture in SharePoint Online, using the modern tool set. The new information architecture and framework for migrating content has reduced the amount of time it takes users to find content. It has also increased adoption, specifically for the organization’s new users, to be able to quickly understand how to navigate the environment. Eliminated the use of legacy forms and workflows (SharePoint Designer and InfoPath) in favor of Power Apps and Power Automate, to allow direct connectivity to line-of-business systems. Enabled opportunities for improved process automation, minimizing the need for manual steps/data entry, significantly improving usability, security, and mobility.

  Leveraged a distributed team based in both North and South America to guide the client through the multi-year journey to migrate over 1,600 sites and 9 TB of content to SharePoint Online. This included transforming over 60 InfoPath Forms to Power Apps, and over 100 SharePoint Designer Workflows to Microsoft Power Automate. Collaborated with Site Owners around the globe as far away as Vietnam and China. The client is already starting to notice increased user satisfaction with their new cloud-based collaboration solution.

• O365 Cloud Collaboration Platform Migration

  For a global manufacturer of dental instruments and products, advised CIO on how to maximize the effectiveness of client’s evolving collaborative cloud landscape with the goal of enabling IT to deliver more value to the business, managed multiple projects to migrate client’s intranet and BI reporting solutions to O365, modernize the intranet UI, leverage Nintex workflow, and implement Project Online.
